Brodie is Proud to Announce That We Are Now New Englands Kalmar Ottawa Yard Tractor Dealer
Since 1958, Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractors have been the “gold standard” in trailer moving solutions for warehouse and distribution operations, ports, and rail terminals in North America. Regarded for their excellent durability, operator comfort, service ease and latest generation engines, featuring the cleanest in engine technology, all are built at the US manufacturing plant in Ottawa, Kansas.
Over 55,000 Kalmar Ottawa trucks have been produced, which is more than twice the production volume of all North American terminal tractor competitors combined.
As the world’s leader in terminal tractors offering the most comprehensive range of models for warehouse and distribution operations, ports and rail terminals, the company’s commitment to continuous product development has resulted in many industry firsts.
Besides being the original manufacturer of terminal tractors, Kalmar Ottawa was the first to offer machines with an automatic transmission, a rear door entry, integral air conditioning units, power cab tilt and ABS brake systems. Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractors were also the first on the market to receive DOT/EPA certification – a paramount classification for distribution and industrial customers whose operation entails shunting trailers between yards via public streets and roadways.
An expanding portfolio of eco-friendly Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractors including machines powered by CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) are also available.

Toyota Launches New and Improved 3-Wheel Electric Forklift
COLUMBUS, Ind. (June 4, 2015) – Toyota Industrial Equipment launched its new 3-Wheel Electric forklift to Toyota’s industry-leading dealer network in Atlanta last month. The new forklifts include 3,000 – 4,000 lb. capacity models with battery compartments ranging from 17.7 to 25.1 inches, and more than 30 improvements to improve performance, efficiency, stability and operator comfort.
Toyota’s new 3-Wheel Electric forklift boasts improved run times, increased travel and lift speeds. The new model comes equipped with wet disc brakes to increase overall uptime and dependability, and features a new turn speed control system to increase the forklifts lateral stability by dramatically slowing it down when an operator attempts to turn at high speeds. Ergonomic improvements include a smaller steering wheel and foot parking brake to enhance operability, a full suspension seat adjustable for various weights for operator comfort, and a popular optional rear assist grip with horn to make reverse travel more comfortable, improve peripheral vision and keep the operator’s hands protected within the compartment.
“Our new forklift has everything our customers expect from a Toyota including superior design and ergonomics, and low cost of ownership,” said Bob Bosworth, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “And now our customers can enjoy the added benefits of improved efficiency, productivity and stability.”
“Our dealers are genuinely excited by the changes we’ve made to the 3-Wheel Electric and we have assured them that this is the best forklift in its class,” said Cesar Jimenez, Director of Product Planning, Technical Services and Warranty. “They can’t wait to share this product with their customers.”
Toyota’s new 3-Wheel Electric forklift is available to order today with first customer shipments in mid-September.
